About Me

Business & Systems Analysis

I work at the intersection of business, users and technology — understanding operational problems, analysing current workflows, identifying system gaps and translating business needs into practical solutions.

My experience includes working with business stakeholders, software projects and operational processes to understand requirements, clarify problems and support implementation.

Technical Foundation

My background in web development, databases, APIs and software testing gives me enough technical understanding to communicate effectively with developers and evaluate technical constraints without losing sight of the underlying business requirement.

I am particularly interested in Business Analysis, Business Systems, Product Operations and Technology Implementation.

Business Analysis Case Studies

Analysis work on real business operations and products — current-state workflows, system gaps and the requirements that follow from them.

Multi-Channel E-Commerce & Inventory Operations
Business and systems analysis of an independent bookstore selling across multiple online marketplaces, including investigation of inventory synchronisation, point-of-sale limitations, customer-response workflows and system integration constraints. Analysed the current operational workflow, identified system and process gaps, evaluated integration constraints and developed practical solution requirements.

Finvo — E-Invoicing Compliance Platform
Business and product analysis of a Malaysian e-invoicing platform designed around LHDN MyInvois requirements. Explored business workflows, compliance requirements, user needs, system behaviour and product functionality.

How I Approach Business Problems

01

Understand

Understand the business objective, users and underlying problem.

02

Analyse

Map the current workflow, identify pain points, gaps, constraints and exceptions.

03

Define

Translate business needs into clear requirements, processes and acceptance criteria.

04

Validate

Work with stakeholders and technical teams, support UAT and investigate defects.

05

Improve

Use feedback, data and operational observations to identify practical improvements.

Analysis & Documentation

The artefacts I produce when analysing a business problem. Worked examples from the case studies are being published here — each card below will link to the corresponding document as it is released.

Business Requirements

The business objective, scope and problem being solved, stated before any solution is chosen.

Functional Requirements

What the system needs to do, described in terms the business and developers can both agree on.

User Stories

Requirements framed from the perspective of the person doing the work.

Acceptance Criteria

Conditions that define when a requirement is genuinely met, including edge cases.

Process Flows

Current-state and proposed-state workflows, including exceptions and hand-offs.

User Journeys

End-to-end paths through a process, showing where friction and drop-off occur.

UAT Test Cases

Business-readable test cases that confirm a solution works against the agreed requirement.

Defect Logs

Structured records of issues found, with steps to reproduce and business impact.

Requirements Traceability

Mapping from business need to requirement to test, so nothing is silently dropped.

Stakeholder Analysis

Who is affected, what they need and who decides — captured before requirements are locked.

Documents are being written up from the case-study work and will be linked here once published.

Technical Enough to Work With Developers

My technical background includes web applications, databases, SQL, APIs and software development workflows. I don't position myself as a software architect or specialist developer; instead, I use this technical foundation to understand implementation constraints, communicate clearly with technical teams and translate between business and technology.

Earlier technical & testing work

Hands-on projects that built the functional testing and API knowledge I now apply to UAT and requirements validation: API testing framework and e-commerce test suite.
